InformalSMP is a season-based Minecraft Java Edition server rotating through different popular modpacks and challenge maps!
Once each season is over, the server will be archived in it's final state and you'll be able to find information on it below.
Twitch subscribers can request world downloads for previous seasons from Dan on Discord!
Season Three
InformalSMP is currently on an indefinite hiatus.
This is normal and expected from time to time as we don't always have the time to dedicate to actively playing on InformalSMP and gives us time to think of new and unique experiences we could create with this server.
In the meantime, we still run the LegacySMP server 24/7, 365.
FAQ
When will this season end?
We plan to have each season run for a minimum of three months. After that, it depends on when players begin to lose interest in the current season. Finally, once we have given the season an end date we'll take a vote on what we should do for the next season.
When will the next season start?
Between seasons we will take short breaks to give us time to get everything ready prior to the start of each season. If we already have the next season planned you'll be able to find more information above!
How do I join?
During each season the server will run 24/7. You can join on Minecraft Java Edition using the IP Copied! smp.informallounge.com. If the current season requires any mods you'll be able to find the information and downloads for those linked above!
Do I get any additional in-game benefits as a Twitch subscriber?
There are currently no additional in-game benefits for Informal Lounge Twitch subscribers on InformalSMP.
Due to the nature of the server it would be extremely difficult to maintain a system to give Twitch subscribers unique benefits during each season. However, Twitch subscribers do have access to in-game benefits on the LegacySMP server!
Twitch subscribers can also request world downloads from previous seasons from Dan on Discord!
Previous Seasons
Season One - FTB One
InformalSMP Season One started on May 25th, 2024 and ran until May 4th, 2025.
It was based around the modpack FTB One 2.8.3 on Minecraft Java Edition 1.19.2.

Season Two - Superflat
InformalSMP Season Two started on May 16th, 2025 and ran until October 5th, 2025.
It was a semi-vanilla cross-platform server running a superflat world.
